Every time I get frustrated, angry, upset, I come back to the same idea. I'm not suicidal. I don't want to die. I just wish I had never been born. I just wish life on earth never existed to begin with. Maybe it's cowardly. Maybe it's fairly so. Either way, it's my truth. So, let's talk. This is a collection of my outbursts or moments of grief that I have put into a string of words. Apparently, it helps. It is my take on my own bits and struggles with mental health that I am willing to share. I will give a fair warning: I like to talk in metaphors and give ambiguous terms meaning. I hope you will at least give it a chance and hopefully you can connect with it. Maybe create some of your own blurbs in the comments. This is how I de-stress. What's yours?

a collection of thoughts i probably would not say out loud. things i notice about people. things i miss. things i pretend not to care about. opinions no one asked for. questionable decisions. memories that come back at inconvenient times. tiny existential crises. movies that changed my brain chemistry. songs i have accidentally built entire personalities around. i write about growing up, love, loneliness, identity, creativity, friendships, strangers, being perceived, being misunderstood, wanting everything and sometimes wanting nothing at all. mostly, i am interested in people and why they do the things they do. the conversations we replay in our heads. the people we wonder about long after they have left. the strange little moments that somehow end up meaning everything. somewhere between a diary and a conversation with someone i have never met. written anonymously because some thoughts are easier to tell strangers. consider this the table in the back of a cafe that probably does not exist, where the conversation gets a little too personal.

Before I knew how to say what I felt, I wrote it down. These are pieces of a younger me-thoughts, fears, questions, and emotions I couldn't always put into words. Written quietly, sometimes painfully, and always honestly, these poems are little pieces of a past I once kept to myself. Some things are easier to write than to say. - E.V.I

"Remember, poetry is written to share ideas, express feelings, and create imagery through figurative words that have a meaning within the poem." - midnight_bloomers / Mary Poems are words full of meaning. ------------------ •⤙• I have multiple muses for my art and literature. I like to draw, I like music, that's art. I like essays, I like poetry, that's literature. My muses can be different for art and literature that vary genres and topics. It could be the ocean, the midnight blue waves crashing into each other. It could also be the limitless sky, that can either shine bright or glow dark. It could be nature too, whatever lurks within those grasses. But it can also be a person. (October 29, 2024.)

Through the Storm: A Memoir of Loss, Sacrifice, and Unshaken Faith It's a personal memoir written by the author for his four children, tracing his family's life from his birth in 1981 through the present day. The book opens with his parents - a teacher and a nurse who built a stable home - before a war tears that stability apart. After his father's death, his mother is left to raise three children essentially alone, stretching a small wage to cover rent, school fees, and meals, and the author credits her quiet, repeated discipline (not one dramatic act of heroism) with holding the family together. From there the memoir follows the author's own path: chasing an education, his first steps into work, an eighteen-year job or chapter that eventually closes, rebuilding his footing, starting a family of his own, and weathering broader hardships in the wider world. It closes with where he stands today and a reflective chapter on faith, money, and what actually sustained him through it all, ending in an epilogue written directly as a letter to his children. The tone throughout is unsentimental and reflective rather than dramatic - the author is explicit that he sees this as an ordinary family's story, not a remarkable one, and that he's writing it mainly so his children have the full shape of where they came from rather than fragments.

Hundreds of real moments, no particular order, no polish, just the truth as I lived it. A memoir told in fragments.
