Philip Shae is taken from his mom because she was using drugs. As a trans guy, he's a lot to handle but the courts find him Helen and Gabe. They're great to him, but he still hates himself. He thinks he doesn't deserve anyone to treat him as well as they do. He meets Lukas, who he begins to have feelings for. He also meets Charlie, who tries to help him come out. What will happen when Lukas finds out who Philip really is? Will Lukas every return those same feelings?

Based on the tv show Eyewitness. An au where Philip and Lukas have known each other since they were young and are now about to embark on the most interesting years of their lives...high school.
