Sie sucht nur nach Freiheit.Mit ihrer Mutter zieht sie von London, England nach New York in den USA, zu dem Neuen ihrer Mutter und für sie die perfekte Chance ein Leben,unkontrolliert von ihrer Mutter, zu leben. Wäre da nicht der Sohn (Nick)des Neuen, der keine Scheu davor hat Charlie alles zu versauen und ihren Plan zur Freiheit gänzlich auf den Kopf stellt.
