Eating my own heart out.

Poem that I wrote about my crush Vincent. Because when I couldn't tell how I felt about him, I put my feelings into poetry. (This poem is part of a poetry collection called "Four Years". If you want to check the rest of the story, please check my profile).

This book is a collection of everything I felt when I had no one to say it to. It's about waiting...for healing, for clarity, for peace. It's about learning to love myself, even when I didn't want to be seen. It's about misery, loathing, moments of joy that slipped away too quickly, and the ones that stayed. There's failure in these pages. And success, too. Not the kind people clap for, no...but the quiet kind. The kind where you get out of bed when your chest is heavy. The kind where you write instead of breaking. These poems won't fix anything. But maybe they'll sit beside you. Maybe they'll remind you that feeling deeply is not weakness. Maybe they'll help you see yourself a little softer. I hope you find a path in here. I hope you feel me. Live with me. And most of all, I hope you learn to love yourself...gently, and for real.
