A polyglot's wanderlust takes in the form of a gap year, when adventure through backpacking occurs. The love for the different languages spoken and learnt urges the will to study the cultures and lives beyond the boundaries of home in Singapore. A blog, a journal, a camera and books act as company on this lonely yet exciting journey. But meeting new people and experiencing new things; it's not exactly lonely now is it?

Spanish is spoken by roughly 500,000,000 natives, with a further 100,000,000 learning as a second language. It is the official language of 21 countries - in Central America; Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, in South America; Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, in the Caribbean; the Dominican Republic and Cuba, in Africa; Equatorial Guinea, and in Europe; Spain. Carrie Smith was only fond of one flower, and that is the humble myosotis, or forget- me- not as it is prominently known. But memories seem to awaken as she reminisce events that happened five years ago in her clouded mind. What could it possibly have in connection? And how about the swirl necklace she has a vague recollection of? Would her questions be answered by an indignant lad with three nationalities running in his veins? Carrie is very much bewildered at this taciturn of events led by this peculiar teenager.

Five talented teens from around the globe are selected due to their language learning skills by the HYPIO (Hyperpolyglot International Organisation) for a secret mission involving many governments. Their abilities will be put to the test in the Academy, a language school located in an unspecified village within southwestern Greenland. They will soon establish romantic relationships and long lasting friendships that will change their way to see the world forevermore.

This short story is for people who are learning french at a beginners level! I understand the struggle of being a beginner in a foreign language and struggling to find easily accessible materials for your target language! The vocabulary I have included is easy to understand, and new/harder words will be posted at the end! This story is approximately A1/A2 level.

It's a collection of poems of mine written in the different languages I know/am learning. I won't be providing translation for stylistic reasons but feel free to correct me, if something's off, when you decide to read them. I hope you enjoy 🥰

Saskia is heartsick and lonely, stuck in a country far from home. Cecilie doesn't know what love is, but she knows that she wants it- if she could come to terms with the fact that she's never going to live the white picket fence life her village expects her to live. When the two neighbors quite literally bump into each other, it seems like love at first sight... until Cecilie discovers that Saskia speaks very limited English. The language barrier seems insurmountable, but the connection between the two becomes more powerful than mere words.

If anyone needs inspiration or help on where to start this is my journey on learning japanese!
