This is a fanfiction love story about ponyboy Curtis. I decided to continue off the story with Dallas winston still alive but Johnny Cade dead. I hope you enjoy! She tries to leave the past and her feelings behind her and start a new life, but when she meets ponyboy she soon realizes that you can not run from your pain. Ponyboy seems like the only person keeping Tess on her feet, and ponyboy will do whatever it takes to help Tess cope with all the hardships that are yet to come.

She was used to not being able to do things, to not being able to have things, or some days not being able to eat. But one thing she wasn't used to was having dead parents.

In a modern world of cracked phone screens and late-night notifications, the greasers are still wild, just now it's through group chats. Loyalty is tested, fights spark in seconds, and brotherhood runs deeper than any message can hold. From inside jokes to real-life chaos, their story unfolds one notification at a time. Along the way she finds a completely different way of life, will she fall in love with it? will she hate it? will she fall in love with someone else? will she be in danger if she stays? and will she get the relationship with her brother that she longs for? I first wrote this story when I was in the 8th grade after reading The Outsiders and falling completely in love with its world, characters, and heart. Like a lot of readers, I wasn't ready to leave Tulsa behind, so I created a story of my own. Years later, I found those old pages again and realized the feelings that inspired them were still there. So I decided to finally put it out into the world. I've grown up a lot since then, and so has this story. I rewrote scenes, deepened the emotions, and changed a few things along the way,including her name. But at its core, it's still the same story I dreamed up as a kid: about music, first love, heartbreak, friendship, and trying to find where you belong when the world has already decided who you are. This is a fan-created work inspired by The Outsiders. I do not own the original characters or source material, aside from my own original character and story additions. When the Music Started is for anyone who ever finished a book and wished they could stay a little longer.

This story will be written by myself and @Tori_Castellanos The Socials, otherwise known as the Soc's and the Greasers came from two completely differently worlds. While the Soc's lived on the rich west side of town and were known as 'white trash with Mustangs and Madras Shirts', the Greasers lived in the east. A poorer area with less flashy cars and more dead-beat dads. The two 'gangs' hated each other with a passion, nothing could get through the fiery loathing and the violence that came with it. It was 1983, and Peyton Valance was wanting to go back in time. She had a fight with her mom about wishing she went back in time to the 60's, where everything was a lot easier. Her mom argued that thing were not easy at all, but when Peyton makes a wish, she accidentally goes back to the 60's and falls in love. You run a popular bar in greaser territory, I mean even some socs come to it. You are 19 years old and in a gang that you have been in since you were 15. Though you don't really go out jumping socs or going into rumbles anymore you just run your bar. What adventures wait for you in the future?

You are the toughest, meanest, member in a gang, in which you only like one out of the 7 other members not including you. On the way to watch a movie with some of the gang a horrible thing happens and you don't know if there is anything else worth living for anymore. That is when you accidentally cross two kids getting beat up. Will you find something else to live for or will you throw you life away even more after the incident?
