Wheatley and Chell meet again in a new light in a world where they can start their lives all over, but not without confronting their pasts again. Chell can't determine the reason why she even cares about him, and Wheatley is scared that she hates him. This isn't a ship fic, I really just want to see both of them heal.

If GLaDOS had focused on the right person, perhaps the entirety of Portal 2 could have been avoided...

There, in the rock, was a small blue oval. But, inside the oval, was definitely not the surface of the moon. No, he was looking down at Her, and her terrifying yellow optic. Could it be considered terrifying, even if it was just a light? “Woah, woah woah, okay, this is not planned, not supposed to happen, okay, um, you shouldn’t be there. Don’t mind me, completely unsuspicious, not Wheatley, nope-” “Hello, Moron.”

She explains herself to Wheatley and Chell, and their boring life once again becomes alight with the excitement of adventure.
