The Straw Hat Pirates venture into Alabasta in hopes of finding and defeating the dreaded Crocodile, however, they run into some problems along the way. One of their crew members fall terminally ill and the pirates have to fight against the sands of time to keep them alive. What sort of dangers lie in the mysterious sands of Alabasta? Will their friend survive?

Akira has never had a normal life. Filled with darkness and mystery, fear and anger. Those around her, ever her so called parents detested her. Finally, her foster family found a way to be ride of Akira. Shipping her off to Grand-Line Academy. High electrified fences surround the campus, students form gangs, chasing after the title of strongest. The motto of the school is Eat or be Eaten. Akira needs to join a gang, and fast. But when you have the four hotshots trying to get you to join their gangs, it's a little more difficult then she imagined. CONTINUED The first few days didn't turn out the way Akira planned. Who'd have thought Akira would be in fights and caught in the middle of gang wars? Not her, that's for sure. But now something even worse is coming. Someone has been sent across the gate and into Hell and Akira is determined to get him back before it's too late. And of cause, nothing is easy for Akira. Family issuse, boys, and you know. Impending death. What could go wrong?

Everything is a eat or be eaten, and if Akira doesn't join a gang soon, she'll be the one eaten. But what happens when Akira manages to catch the attention of the four strongest hot-shots on her very first day? What happens when she realizes she not the only one with strange powers? Maddy only ever thought of one thing in life and which was to work every waking moment of her life to be the perfect student. A boy never stood in her way, as she found love as a silly little part of life. Even so when she needs Sabo's help she doesn't receive the number she expected and she doesn't expect to fall in love with someone she never met.
