The sky wept for the lack of light, strangled by dark clouds hovering over New York City. It was a rare moment where the streets weren't filled with people, most taking refuge from the wailing sky. The man snaps his head up, a single violet eye peeking through dark bangs, confused and slightly annoyed. The raccoon chitters loudly and leaps off of the man's shoulder. "Karl?! What-" The man reaches forward in an attempt to grab the raccoon before it could run off, missing by a hair. He curses under his breath and begins to run after the animal. The rain falls harder, nearly blinding the man. He nearly slides off of his feet as he turns a corner, almost catching Karl. Something, no, someone, slams into him. He falls back with a huff, landing hard on the flooded street. Both eyes are revealed as he looks down, frowning. His expression freezes at the sight of sunset-colored eyes, terrified and lost. Tiny hands, pale and bruised, covered in scars, reach up to grab his shirt. "Tasukete!" Nothing is the same since. - I've had this thought for a while, because I think Edgar deserves some love (I love both the author and this character SO much) and I also think Edgar and Atsushi would get along so well. I haven't read or watched much of BSD, but I am reading as I go, so if things are inconsistent... I'm blaming it on the canon divergence. :P Anyways, I hope you all enjoy! It's more of a hole in the wall few people actually knew exists, only distinguished from the wall of the alley it was in by the bright neon sign. In said bar there was a cat and an old man who poured the drinks to those who came. He had seen many people walk through the doors of the bar and down the stairs away from the streets ruled by the Port Mafia. Some came once and never again, some became regulars that suddenly disappeared and some still came to this day. But out of everyone he's seen come and go, friends or foe, one group stood out in his mind. It was such an odd group if anyone would give it more thought. A young boy, only a teen, many might scold the man for pouring such a young child a drink but they had never seen the boy. He cam with a man with red hair, soon they brought a third man with them and they became his most fateful customers. Though he only ever watched and poured drinks even he could feel the warmth as they came and sat in the same seats and drank the same drinks. Then one day, that warmth died and after that last frigid drink they drank he never saw those three together again. The boy and the third man still came and sat in their seats and drank their drinks, but the only thing ever occupying the red haired man's seat would be the flowers they'd leave. And the barman is left to wonder what could have broken up the trio who once seemed so inseparable? . This story wont make sense but hey when do my other stories does. but this is just a what if Atsushi was Jouno in Disguise. Summery here Jouno was sent to spy on the Ada. Since he's mostly available all the time. They would usually send Tachihara on these type of mission but he was way to busy spying on the Port mafia. And Tecchou can't be sent because he was the strongest hunting dog. and they cant have him risk on the mission(plus he will probably make it obvious that he's spying on them) While Teruko might be a good choice. But she's literally the vice-cap so out of the question. so that leave Jouno to spy. If you ask about abilities on which one Jouno/Atsushi will get read to find out.
