When Kara Wilder falls victim to a cruel prank, she ends up stuck in the middle of a lake, her savior turning out to be the one person she always thought she'd hate: Archer Jameson.
Ever since he called her "Freckles" in the 5th grade, the two became enemies, rivals, hating one another with a burning passion large enough to set a forest aflame. At least...that's what she thought.
But as the day goes on, she sees a different side to her rival, discovering the truth behind her own feelings, and wonders if maybe...just maybe...they could end the day as something more than enemies.
Something like friends.
**NOTE** This book was written as a present to my romance-loving sister, who dislikes the violence I usually add into my stories. I decided to create this novella so she would finally enjoy some of my writing-and because she really wanted to read a kiss scene I'd written. I'm a firm believer in not just writing what you're comfortable with but going outside that comfort-zone, so this story definitely took me a bit out of it. If you don't like light-hearted banter, curly blonde hair, or freckles, this may not be the book for you. But if you do, I hope you enjoy this quirky romantic-comedy just as much as I enjoyed writing it.
