This piece was written during my second pregnancy, reflecting on my first pregnancy which was unfortunately ectopic.

She thought motherhood would feel soft, like something she was always meant to become. And when two pink lines finally appeared, she let herself love something she hadn't even met yet. But loss doesn't just take what was growing, it takes pieces of who you were becoming with it. Now, standing in the quiet aftermath of grief, she finds herself staring at two lines again. This time, hope doesn't come gently. It comes tangled in fear, memory, and the haunting question of what if it happens again? A raw story about love, loss, and the fragile courage it takes to try again; when your heart isn't the same as it was before.
