Neel Roy sets out to interview one of the most discussed young women in recent times - Veera Rajput, the reason being her statistics of divorces. Playing in their pine forest after school, twelve-year-old Justin stumbles upon a strange neighborhood. A strange neighborhood filled with even stranger houses, like one made out of snow, even though it doesn't snow in Cambria, California, and another that appears to be sinking into the ground, its crumbling walls giving it the appearance of an ancient house that belongs along a canal in Venice, Italy. As Justin explores the neighborhood, they realize that they are being followed by a large, black wolf-like beast. Hoping to seek shelter, Justin ends up opening the door of an Indian palace with golden spires and steps into a world of magic and wizards.
