Prologue Stories

(This takes place shortly after the first five books) (also I'm working on a new cover) It has been three months since the dragonets "prophecy" came to fruition. Every Tribe was trying to adapt to the new peace, something that hasn't been experienced in years. For one particularly stubborn tribe, (cough cough, Nightwings, cough cough), they are having a rather rough time, just with the fact that they aren't constantly surrounded by lava and death. Though, one dragonet adapts slightly faster, (mostly due to not wanting to starve again), which leads to a... Rainwing, stalking him. Yeah, a Rainwing. Such unrefined creatures... they do so many strange things, they should be considered a subspecies of Dragons. - During a sudden Tribe meeting, a life changing event occurs for every Dragon present, a particularly "violent" and "blinding" one. (Ominous foreshadowing)-(Me personally, I would have tanked it) - Example dialogue: (this is used in the story) Kiwi freezes for a moment and the orange she is holding falls to the platform "huh?... well... I wouldn't call it stalk..." Fateseaker cuts her off immediately, "You watch me, from the shadows, while invisible... that's stalking", he continues eating. Kiwi scrunches her face up, trying to think of a sarcastic remark or something to defend her actions with, but alas, poor Kiwi can't think of a proper comeback, so she sits there looking like a agitated yet bloated crocodile. - (A story about Breaking "Fate") Writing gets better with each chapter. WIP chapters are technically "finished", but I'll add more details, better grammar, etc. The edited chapters will have a (rewritten # times) at the beginning. (Just a little disclaimer, this story will have some darker themes starting at chapter 5)

This novel is associated with drug and alcohol content, as well as some sexual scenes (not that graphic). I guess you could say this is a fanfic of Allan Stratton's Leslie's Journal.

HE glared at her "I accept but watch out because you life is about to turn upside down and I will personally make sure of that" With that he walked off. Sean Kovic is very, very old. At least he's aged well. Some decades ago, he heard a joke about grumpy old men and was immediately jealous. Imagine it. Comfortably sequestered into your own home, free of the noisy people, free to rant whenever someone forced their way into your world... the life. Unfortunately, his life does not allow such cantankerous serenity. His world does not. If something goes awry in his town, he has to deal with the repercussions. So, much to his chagrin, he is proactive in maintaining peace. And on this night? It has come to Sean Kovic's attention that a local crimelord is doing what they do best: causing problems. --- The very first story I wrote in college! At least, the first one I liked. At the time, I was working on an urban fantasy novel and co-opted my Art and Craft of Writing class's final assignment to see if I could figure out a tone for the story. As it turns out, a prologue featuring the sort-of-mentor character was exactly what I needed! (For the sake of posterity, I'm not letting myself edit anything.)

Love is harsh, it's a wild card. You never know what to expect when you're in love, and it hits you unexpectedly. I guess I say all of this, but I don't really know. I've never been in love. What is it like? Everyone I know doesn't seem to be in love, their just mindlessly dating. I guess what i'm saying is, i'm interested, and I want to know what it's like, but how do I do that?
