An ancient and powerful artifact must be recovered and delivered to Grayskull before Skeletor takes possession of it. What if a Masters of the Universe story appeared as a serial in "Weird Tales" back in the 1930's? I wrote the bulk of this story in 2009 - 2012 (and completed the final two chapters in 2022) as an experiment along just those lines: a MOTU adventure in the style of Robert E. Howard, of whose works the MOTU franchise has always been derivative. Those early minicomics, beautifully illustrated by Alfredo Alcala and Mark Texiera, captivated my youthful imagination and led to my eventual love of prewar American pulp fiction. This story draws mostly on that canon, with some Filmation elements as well.

Jason Wallis lead singer with the recently successful band Jax. wakes up hung over from a night of heavy drinking to get over his misery after his romantic relationship falls through, to find pretty Tracey Morgan in his shower, whom he barely recalls bringing to his room. He later discovers she makes her living as a backing singer for various bands on tour, as well performing in musical stage shows, but she also has firm a rule that she never sleeps with musicians. "Sitting On A Cloud" is the first novel written by Alberto Vallini. It is a romance novel, pulp-tinged and full of pop culture quotes, which tells the story of Alex, a man with a turbulent past full of emotional scars who begins working as a driver for teenagers with disabilities. This experience, quite unexpectedly, restores his self-esteem, causing him to discover a talent (unknown to himself) in caring for others, a talent that gives a meaning and a purpose to his life. Maya, Serena, Yassine, and Leo become like children to Alex, meanwhile a deep and passionate, out-of-the-blue love affair is born between him and Emma, a love story to which everyone opposes only because of their age difference.
