I had trouble rhyming when I was younger. I wasn't so great at school, I wasn't too great at being practical. All I knew was how to be myself. That was before she saw him, a young warden, kneeling to teach a child with a gentleness that caught her completely off guard. Now she's back home with more questions than answers, and only her dog to listen to her ridiculous thoughts. Who is he? This book will be a collection of short stories I wrote for English class or in my free time. Some of the stories may have been based on a prompt, so the idea will be more my teacher's than mine, but others are free-writes that we had just been given a picture to base it off. All my poems will be free-verse poems and may cover sensitive topics that hit close to home, so enter with caution. I will not explain any of the poems because I feel it is up to the reader to decipher it themselves, but feel free to comment on what you think it's about.
