This essay examines the historical roots and modern expression of the Jezebel archetype placed on Black women, tracing how a narrative born in slavery continues to shape culture, film, and recognition today. RJ Knighton explores how Hollywood, particularly through the Academy Awards, consistently uplifts racialized stories within a narrow frame, often tying Black identity to suffering, servitude, or sexualization. Through analysis of films like Monster's Ball and One Battle After Another, alongside the legacies of Dorothy Dandridge and Halle Berry, the essay confronts the uncomfortable pattern of Black women being positioned as objects of desire within imbalanced power dynamics, especially through the lens of white male gaze. Grounded in historical context, cultural critique, and respect for Black women's autonomy, this piece does not reject Black sexuality but challenges the systems that distort it, asking whether what we are witnessing is true progress or a continuation of the same story in a different form.

Set between the aftermath of World War II and the shifting promises of the late 1950s, this story follows two men raised on opposite sides of privileges and survival. Vincent grows up in wealth, discipline and expectation. Heir to a powerful name, he was taught early that image is everything. Alastor, raised by a violent father, lives in an era that limits him at every turn. He learns how to move through spaces that welcome his talent, yet reject his presence. Their lives collide in a moment neither will forget - a brief encounter marked by judgment which later leaded to consequences. What follows is not a simple romance, but a slow unraveling: of inherited beliefs, carefully performed roles, and desires that refuse to remain buried. Vincent and Alastor are forced to confront not only each other, but the parts of themselves shaped by fear, expectation from society, survival and the cost of choosing who they are allowed to be.

The human race is gone, and they have given their knowledge to their best friends; dogs. Peace has always been established, but recently many cats have stated an uprising. Out of their jealousy of the dogs, they have found an illegal recipe similar to the original knowledge-giving formula that the humans gave to the dogs. With their new intelligence, the cats build an enormous lab made for weaponry and bomb construction. Some cats do not wish for war, so they join the dogs but are not fairly treated. Priscilla and her boyfriend Conner are just ordinary, 17 year old (dog years) dogs trying to finish high school. But when a bomb the cats are building explodes prematurely, Conner and Priscilla get a little too close. Many of the cats died, but a few survived, along with the two terribly burned dogs. But after a week in the hospital, Priscilla and Conner have fully grown their fur back and are experiencing weird symptoms, like burning things with a touch of their paw. The cats that lived had the same symptoms as well, and they want revenge. Priscilla thinks that these new found abilities could be super powers, and that they could be used to protect the city, while Conner thinks they could be extremely dangerous, and should be kept hidden. Could he be right?

This essay examines the concept of - otherness. in relation to immigrants and how societies historically respond to cultural outsiders. Using the decline of the Roman Empire as a historical case, it explores how migration, political instability, and perceptions of foreign groups contributed to tensions within Roman society. The paper then compares these dynamics with modern debates about immigration and nationalism in Europe and the United States. By highlighting both similarities and important differences, the essay argues that the fall of the Western Roman Empire cannot be explained by migration alone, but rather by a complex interaction of economic, political, and social factors. Understanding these historical patterns provides perspective on contemporary discussions about identity, integration, and national stability.

This Christian-Adaption takes place in a small, southern town in Indiana where nothing has really progressed in the last sixty years. In this town, racial slurs, violence, lack of justice, and even murder are still permitted. As long as the black man is still at the bottom of the social ladder. The reason this town is still unexploited is because it is has nothing there, but the most intelligent private schools in the nation, Hill Private School. With the exception of the seven percent of students that apply and actually make it in, no one else is there. Which meant that you have to have a very wealth family, and the best grades from middle school to get in. No one expected two other students that weren't Caucasian to actually make it in. Achilles Brown, who was originally from Manchester has come to this school wanting to become ready to attend one of the best colleges in the world after he graduates. His intelligence is far above any other fifteen year old boy, and he want the entire world to know it. Melody Lann has lived in this town her entire life, and after being treated brutally because of the color of her skin she only wants to get away from it so that she can live a normal life. Her mother, however, has plans for her to stay there and be the first Non-Caucasian to graduate from there. Join these two through the real and the seemingly unreal challenges that they face in life and in death. Heaven and Hell will have your heart pacing from page to page. Read as this dark reality mixes in with the supernatural forces that have been around us for all time.
