The year is 2050, and the world is ending. Or, at least, the world that humans have come to know over the past 2.5 millennia. The world itself will prosper, along with mechanical inventions. The creators, however- will die. Gerard Way is an incredibly perspicacious artificial intelligence, given the task of wiping out whatever remaining humans that had survived this long into the apocalypse. There weren't many, just a few particularly relentless cockroaches among billions, but they were obsolete. Most had run, sobbed, pleaded for their lives. A few plucky ones had even tried to resist, but Gerard had thought he'd seen it all. That's when he met Frank Iero: a struggling college student who's been eagerly awaiting the apocalypse for years now and is all too passive in the face of his own destruction.
