Story Description (Blurb) In a world ruled by warriors, demons, and silent gods, Kaido was taken at the age of three. He was not chosen. He was not special. He was simply compatible. Demons wanted him. Gods allowed it. And the world kept moving. Cursed with immortality that strips pieces of him away each time he dies, Kaido grows up learning one thing early: survival is not the same as living. Power always comes with strain. Mercy is optional. And the system that claims to protect the world is built on sacrifice. Kaido is not a hero. He does not want to save anyone. He only wants silence. As demons erode the world and warriors fight to delay the inevitable, Kaido becomes something the system cannot measure-an anomaly that cannot be touched, controlled, or reasoned with. And when the noise becomes too loud, he decides to end it. Not for justice. Not for revenge. But because some problems only stop when the source is removed.

When the first 2 Gods descended, they fell in love at first sight, and the moon god created several roses to gift to the sun God as a sign of his affection. Those same roses were then passed down to their descendants, mortals, to take care of them. Roses are usually red, but the first roses exist in different colors, and whenever a mortal pluck one of the original roses, they are blessed with unimaginable power. A few of the roses have been found, and several others are waiting for their chosen one, but one, in particular, has never even been spotted, the black rose.

In the world Kiyotaka Ishimaru lives in, everyone is ranked by their family 'status'. Being rich, famous, or just making a large impact on the world gave you a higher status. The higher your status, the more chances you had in the world. With a high status, you had more luck in anything you did, you had more career options, and you could get just about anything you wanted easily. But most importantly, you would be matched with someone around the same status as you. Once you turn 18, you're entered into what's referred to as nothing more than "The System". Of course, some have more choicer words for it. But to Kiyotaka, it's known as "The Freedom Taker". Because, of course, to a 17 year old who knows in less than a year they'll be paired with a stranger who they know will be a goldigger, liar, or a plain old nasty person, "The Freedom Taker" is an accurate name. But maybe, just maybe, things will go different for him. Maybe, just this time, he can hope. (note: there will be no swearing or lemon in the book.
