You all know Ratchet, the grumpy Autobot medic. You know he isn't exactly "on board" with humans around the base. Okay, Raf, Jack, and Miko could be an exception, and perhaps June Darby and Agent Fowler, if he was in one of his better moods, but if there was another human? No. No way. That would make him the guardian of said human. And he had much better things to do than babysit. Cassidy Weathers isn't one to talk, mainly because she can't. She was born mute. It doesn't stop her from making her voice be heard though, as long as she has her notebook and as long as her fingers aren't broken. She never thought the three kids she had met and become fast friends with, Jack, Raf, and Miko, had a secret that was bigger than a two-story building. Except for Jack's motorcycle, perhaps. It could be one and a half stories. So when these two meet, which aren't under the best of circumstances, they might start butting heads (or helms, or both, or-you get the idea). Or they can have a guardian/charge relationship that they slowly build up to, even when one of them will respond to the other without a word. After the death of Cliffjumper, the autobots were dealt quite the blow, both emotionally and in their numbers. On top of that air superiority is still in the decepticons favor which is still a big problem for the Autobots. But the day after the Autobots try to rescue Cliffjumper; only to find him as an undead terrorcon zombie, Ratchet picks up an autobot signal, but is perplexed to see that it is airborne. Most believe it's a trap, but Optimus believes that it is still worth investigating. As they try to do so the decepticons also pick up the signal. But the signal originator aids the Autobots in driving off the decepticons in his green cargo plane mode resembling a modified Antonov An-225. After the decepticons are dealt with, the jet hovers in front of the Autobots and then transforms into a bot that is nearly equal in height to Optimus himself. Once transformed Optimus immediately recognized who this bot was... his second in command, Jetfire. (A/N: Yes I am using the Transformers Cybertron Jetfire for this fanfic. And he will have his cyberkey power but it will be explained differently in the story.)
