Nowadays, we, the Europeans, hear a lot about the refugees, how many of them die trying to arrive in our continent, and how others achieved to escape from their motherlands. Many of us like to criticize them, giving them the image of poor bad people, running away from their troubles just to create new here. We almost never stop to take even a second and imagine how they survived the tragedy and brought their families thinking about the security we could offer. Aneesa was only fourteen years old, as a war dared to end with the security and peacefulness of her beloved ones and she self. What a lot of people don't realize (and that the news rarely mentions) is that some 70 million people in the world are now displaced. May it be through war. Terrorism. Natural disasters. These are people who sadly no longer have a home to return to without risking their lives. And when you understand the statistics behind refugees, it's jaw-dropping.
