Why do we as humans call out current life the present? Well that question is supposedly easy to answer. We see it as a gift awarded to those most lucky. When you lose your ability to live, you lose the greatest gift possible, but sometimes life isn't just classified by having brain function and breathing air. To some, life is much more. It's a place, a feeling, and in the case of love, a person. When you find the one, who some call your soulmate, that person becomes your everything. Your happiness, your sadness, your joy and sorrow, and most importantly, your life. Without them, life has no purpose. Air is optional. The sunshine no longer shines. The flowers give no more beauty. Life has nothing more to offer. As cringey as this may sound, it's something that happens when you reach the greatest point of care towards another. You love them so dearly that you would do anything for them. Love them with all your heart. Change for them. Cry for them. Stay for them. Live for them. Not everyone may experience this type of love, and it's okay to not. The purpose of life can be found in other places, it just needs to be discovered. Though I am one of the grateful few who did find this love. True love as some call it in the fairy tales. Your perfect happy ever after. You love every part about them. There beauties and their flaws. Their joys and their sorrows. You remember the small details they tell you with no meaning behind them. You keep track of their accomplishments to make sure they know how truly proud of them you are. The ability to feel and give the emotion of love is beautiful.
Now, do I wish my emotions of love went away? Yes.
Why? Because it breaks you to love someone who no longer loves you back.
