(Discontinued/ On hiatus with no guarantee of another chapter) John had always denied that the number on his arm was showing her because her soulmark couldn't show his, right? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone is born with a number on their body - at the time 1.0. It varied where it was on one's body, but there were always a few consistent features for each person: it had their soulmate's ability level, eye colour and it would glow anytime they activated their ability, like their eyes would. At that very moment, Seraphina had pulled back the sleeve on her left forearm as she stared out in horror at the scene unfolding before her. The 7.5 showed on her forearm near her wrist with a burnt orange-gold glow.

In this world nothing matters but power. Society has a strict hierarchy, the strong hold all the power and influence. Beating anyone weaker than them with little to no fear of consequences, because there is none, if you're strong you can do whatever you want. if you are weak then you better keep your head down and don't piss off someone stronger than you, because society sure as hell won't care what happens to you. In the world, the strong are expected to be perfect, to command respect and authority with their mere presence, to be leaders and role models and beat anyone who doesn't show them that, cause who are the weak to talk back and disrespect the strong? They need to learn their place. But what happens when one of the strong isn't like that? He isn't perfect, yes his power commands respect but they don't respect him for who he is, they respect him out of fear what he will do if they don't show it. He isn't a perfect role model, he isn't the top of the class, he isn't formal, he doesn't rise up and lead like he's expected too. And he's completely fine with that. He doesn't live to meet their expectations.

It's just a normal day at Wellston when John's long lost sister shows up. She was taken by their mother so she could be trained and master her ability to use her as a secret weapon for Ember. She is on the run from her mom and keeps here power a secret to keep her safe. She soon takes interest to her friend Isen. Will they fall in love, or will her mother find her, and take her away again.

Isen and Blyke go to a party with their friends. Isen get drunk and tell Blyke how he feels about him. Will Blyke and Isen still be friends after that?
