Good morning, I'm Kalliope Aoidós (yes, spelled like this: Καλλιόπη Ἀοιδός... pretty impressive, right?), Technical Account Manager at a company in... well, I'm sure you don't really need my CV for this. Let's try again. Hey, I'm Kalliope Aoidós, and I've got a little problem. Okay, more like an incurable, family-heritage problem. Technically, it's genetic-something my family has been conveniently passing down for centuries. One of my great-great-great-great-grandparents thought it was totally appropriate to insult his muse, calling her a "good-for-nothing" and a "sellout." How charming, right? Too bad that muse was THE Muse after whom I'm named. Apparently, she's not exactly the warm and fuzzy type. So why on earth do I have the honor of carrying the name of the one who cursed my entire family tree? Oh, that was my grandmother's brilliant idea. In a way, they "sacrificed" me to her by giving me her name, hoping it would change her mind about the curse. Spoiler alert: It didn't. So here I am, just like hundreds of my ancestors, stuck in the same lovely swamp. I'm a Book Jumper or, as my grandmother (who has a flair for dramatic epithets) likes to call me, a βιβλιοποδητής, which basically means "walker of books." And these are my stories. Or, more accurately, my delightful misadventures. Copyright 2025 AnemoneMarino. All Rights Reserved. A retelling/reimagining of Poppy Playtime based on the events of the main video game (so far). The story follows a young adult man in his mid-to-late 20's by the name of Cameron Wallace, who interned at the Playtime Co. toy factory over a decade ago as a teenager due to his father, Patrick "PW" Wallace, working there as well. After the mysterious disappearance of the staff just days after he and his father left, Cameron receives a lead over a decade later that his former co-workers may still be alive but trapped within the factory. Following the clues left to him, Cameron returns to the abandoned Playtime Co. factory once more to see if he can solve the mystery of what happened on August 8th, 1995, as well as what was going on within the factory that led to his father's suicide years after their departure from Playtime. (This story, like the original game, may describe unsettling topics. Take caution while reading.)

System Error: Love cannot be deleted. In the sterile, perfect world of 2099, Catherine Earnshaw has everything: a wealthy husband, a high-ranking job at Linton Corp, and a bug-free life. But she is haunted by a ghost in the machine. Heathcliff is not a man. He is a corrupted AI program Cathy created in her reckless youth-a chaotic, obsessive algorithm stored on an abandoned server known as "The Heights." When the server begins to destabilize the global network, Cathy returns to the digital ruins to do the one thing she promised never to do: Initiate the purge sequence. But Heathcliff refuses to go quietly. He knows her source code better than she knows herself, and he offers her a dangerous choice: Return to her hollow reality, or upload her consciousness to the cloud and burn in the fire of eternal data with him. A Cyberpunk reimagining of the classic Wuthering Heights for the Wattpad Contest.

"He healed the enemy who came to arrest Him." Malchus was just a servant, doing his duty in the darkness of Gethsemane. But when a flash of a sword took his ear, and a touch from the man he was sent to capture restored it, his world shattered. The enchanted woods around Thorne Estate are beautiful, ancient, and hungry. When Lord Thorne finds a lost child in the mist, he brings him home. Vaeren, a quiet orphan marked by survival and a magic that grows darker and stronger with time, bending the elements he was never taught to fear. Caelia, the estate's fierce heir, is the only one who sees past the silence and the shadows. Their bond forms slowly over the years. But the world outside the woods is cruel, and alliances are heavier than love. When Vaeren is forced from the estate, old wounds turn into grudges. Years later, he returns. Richer, remade by anger and ambition, carrying the belief that he was left behind by the one person who mattered. A story of longing, resentment, and love tangled in silence and storm. **Author's Note** This short story was written for The Wuthering Heights Reimagined Contest. I don't live in the U.S., so I know I'm not eligible to win the prize, but honestly, I didn't write this for that. I wrote it because I love this kind of story and couldn't get it out of my head. Wuthering Heights has always stuck with me. This is my take on that feeling, just told in my own way. Maybe one day I develop this more, instead of being a short story withso many details being left out. Thanks for reading and letting me share this anyway.

"I'm going to tell you the story of Artoria Pendragon, one of the fiercest warriors who ever lived." I sat in my mother's lap, listening intently as her soft voice wrapped around me like a warm blanket. "Long ago, there was a place called Camelot. Hidden within this land was a queen who concealed her true identity from the world. She fought monsters, led knights into battle, and entrusted her life to a brilliant strategist - just as they entrusted theirs to her. This woman would come to be known as King Arthur." I tilted my head in confusion. "But Mommy, a king can't be a woman. Don't you mean she was a queen?" My mother smiled knowingly but didn't answer my question. Instead she gently patted my hair, and I leaned into her embrace, comforted by the steady rhythm of her heartbeat. "She was faster than the other knights. Her skill and battle prowess struck fear into the hearts of her enemies - but they feared the man they believed her to be. Trapped behind the mask the world had created for her, she carried the burden of her secret alone." I started to yawn, but my mother's voice pressed on, soothing and steady. "Her chivalry was unmatched, and her strength as a leader inspired others to follow her without question." Sleep tugged at me, my mother's warmth lulling me under. As I drifted off, I felt her lift me in her arms and carry me to bed. The last thing I heard before slipping into sleep was her soft whisper: "But the truth remained hidden throughout her life and beyond. Still, she never lost hope that one day, all of this would change, my dear Artemisia." Unfortunately the cover is ai art TT I don't have money to commission someone like I had wanted so this will have to suffice.
