What if Ben Solo didn't die at the end of Episode IX: Rise of Skywalker? Here's what I think would happen. Spoilers. Duh.

The defeat of the emperor came at a price neither Ben nor Rey were willing to accept. What lengths will they go to to protect one another and what sacrifices will it take? As their love grows stronger, distance makes their hearts grow fonder. Ben sacrificed his life for the woman he loved. Rey will go to any length to save the man she loves. But when she discovers a heartwarming surprise, Rey realizes that to save Ben she would not only be sacrificing her own life. Can Rey protect those she loves as well as save the man she loves?

Months have passed since the end of the war against Emperor Palpatine, since Rey lost her dyad in the Force, Ben Solo, and found a new home on the Lars's moisture farm on Tatooine. Ever since she settled in on the desert planet, Rey started training a new order of Jedi, teaching them about the balance of the Force, taking her mind off of what happened on Exegol until after her lessons, because that's when she tries to reach out in the Force to search for him. For Ben Solo. But even after months of trying to reach out to him day after day, Rey still fails, believing he doesn't want to see her. She is frustrated and desperate, and about to give up hope until she finds out about a place existing within the Force, a place existing between time and space: the world between worlds. Could Ben be stuck in the world between worlds? Could he have been alive after all? And can Rey bring him back? All characters and planets are from Lucasfilm/Disney. The fic contains the world between worlds, but I added my own little spin to it. The art is by meadowhayle.

Rey is reeling with the pain and grief of losing the other half of her soul, Ben Solo, just moments after his redemption and their first blissful kiss. She doesn't think she can go through this loss and abandonment again.... but does she have too? I tried to stay true to the events that took place during "The Rise of Skywalker", adding my take on what happened "behind the scenes" and continuing the story to give Ben and Rey their happily ever after. Rey stays on Tatooine while the resistance tries to bring a new order to the galaxy. After the defeat of the First Order and the death of the man she loves, she is not sure what to do. But what if he wasn't actually dead? What if the Wills sent him back to liver is life with Rey? This is their story. Takes place after TROS, so obviously spoilers. I refuse to believe that Ben is dead and this is how I am coping with it. I own nothing except for the plot. Everything goes to Disney and Lucas-film. I found the cover art online.

After the big fight against Palpatine and the Final Order, there isn't any time to take a break. People need help all over the galaxy and a New System must be reestablished. While Rey desperately tries to talk to Ben's Force Ghost, she doesn't have time to concentrate on it either. Her future as a Jedi Master lies ahead. Rey finds Jedis, lightsabers, friends and enemies; discovers truths, stories and secrets. All these distractions in one aim: forget her grief and ancestor. Poe creates plans to prove that he can be the next General. Finn wants to protect Rey from her Dark Side and repeatedly tries to make her understand his secret. In the Council, he defends the fate of the stormtroopers though many in the Resistance seek the destruction of the rebuilding Empire more. Is there any way to bring Ben Solo back? Something Rey nor Ben dare to think. Nevertheless it's obvious that it is what both of them want the most in the darkest place of their hearts. This story begins in Supreme Leader Snokes chamber, moments after Rey and Kylo Ren have defeated Snoke and his entourage of Redcoats. But, in the timeline, Rey said yes to Kylo's offer. That is where this story is born. Rey and Ben Solo attempt to escape their past despite everything calling them back to their history. They will sacrifice everything to escape the chains of their lives and begin new, with each other, with the Galaxy in their hands.

But soon, Hux's jealousy and Kylo's criminal ways begin to catch up with him. There is a plot by the evil drug kingpin, Snoke, to kill Rey before she spills all she knows about him and his operation. Kylo must straighten his life out and find a way to save Rey before it is too late, and the only girl he ever loved slips through his fingers.

Rey is the new student to The Force highschool. She is reunited with one of her best friends, making other friends as well. She then meets someone by the name Kylo Ren, the moment these two met each other, they hated each other.
