Hergal Rime is a Frowslan by birth, a Cryomancer by vocation, and alone by necessity. In her youth, she was a scholar, taking advantage of peaceful years in the Seven Nations of Corvis by travelling them all, cataloging the unique magics in each. Now she lives alone, pursuing her studies of how the magics of each land interact with one another.
But she has been alone for so long.
Madness is hiding just beyond her grasp, waiting for her to reach out.

This tale takes place in Corvis, the same world as my "Poems of Paral." Taking place well after "The Ballad of Autumn's Peak" and generations before "Sonnets for a Rat of Northaven," "The Curse of Hergal Rime" presents a glimpse of Paral's northernmost region, Maresepa, and leads up to its eventual fall. It also focuses on the Frowslan style of magic: Cryomancy, the art of manipulating and forming ice.
