This ensemble story explores the families we are born into, the ones we choose, and the courage it takes to stand together through life's trials. In Part I: Stand By Me, recently promoted Army JAG Captain Kinley Grady begins moves back San Antonio, navigating military life a neurodivergent woman while carrying unresolved grief from her past. Surrounded by family and chosen loved ones, Kinley and those around her confront old wounds, unexpected love, and what it truly means to let someone stand by you. Her father, Cormac, seeks connection after personal loss; Mick Scavo, estranged from his family, learns loyalty can be chosen; Kellen Grady adjusts to post-military life; and Valencia Aguilar, Kaci's best friend, begins to reclaim her own strength. In Part II: Standing As One, the story deepens as the characters navigate the challenges of caring for one another and building found family. Bianca Grady adjusts to life as a new mother while learning to trust again. Gomez Cordero, an Army JAG, takes on guardianship of his nephew and niece while confronting difficult family dynamics. Jesse Holland faces the legacy of early loss, while his mother, Tara Sorenson, discovers that love and new beginnings are possible even after decades of grief. Maren Scavo continues forging a life free from the expectations that once defined her. From learning to stand by one another to ultimately standing as one, these interconnected lives explore grief, healing, love, and loyalty-and the power of chosen family in shaping who we become.

This is a short-story on cyber bullying and I am entering this into a contest, I know it won't win, but I was cyber bullied and just normally bullied at he same time. I just wanted to share this!

Every year 10 girls are picked at the beginning of the school year to represent the senior class in a battle of the… prettiest? Up until this year though it’s been a friendly competition among the senior girls and allows them to interact with the rest of the school, but this year it’s different, this year someone wants to shake things up a bit and it just so happens the only way that can happen is if Chloe participate. How does an innocent little prank go too far and cause one to lose all that has ever mattered to them for the past 17 years in a time span of 6 months? Read on and find out. Keep in mind though, no matter how good things get, don’t let it go to your head.

Enduring the trauma of abuse and betrayal, she battles with fear and insecurity, her self-worth diminished by the torment of her husband and in-laws. The weight of their judgment and constant blame gnaws at her, eroding her confidence and leaving her feeling isolated and trapped. Yet, deep within, a flicker of resilience persists, urging her to break free and reclaim her own identity.

This anti-bullying one-shot is a piece of fiction meant to raise awareness on cyberbullying as part of the Telus/WeDay campaign. However, it is an extreme example of what approximately one in two teens go through. If you are not comfortable with this serious topic, then I suggest not reading this. Otherwise, read on!
