Robin Buckley thought she got over her crush on Nancy Wheeler a long time ago. It was just a stupid sophomore crush, nothing serious. Nancy was pretty, intimidating, and completely out of Robin's league. Easy to admire from afar, impossible to actually talk to. Plus she was straight anyway which that by itself made it doomed- But one chaotic adventure with the Scoop Troop throws them together again, and suddenly Robin can't stop noticing things she tried to forget. The way Nancy stays calm under pressure. The way she steps in without hesitation to protect everyone. Turns out the prissy girl she remembered is actually kind of terrifying- in the coolest way possible! Meanwhile, Nancy doesn't know what to make of Robin Buckley. She's loud, sarcastic, and impossible to read, which already puts Nancy on edge. Still, for some reason, she keeps catching herself paying more attention to the blonde than she means to.
