After pulling a few strings here and there to ruin her cheating ex, Shane Oman's life, Regina George is done with love, but is also incredibly bored with her life at Northshore High. She never wanted anything to do with the weird but freakishly hot Rodrick Heffley, but it's clear he has a crush on her. How could Regina not take advantage of that? It wouldn't hurt to play with his feelings for a while, right? It would be a major time killer to pass senior year. What's the worst that can happen? As if she'd ever fall for an emo freak.

Senior year. Senior year was going to be Regina's year. After the insanity that was junior year, Regina was ready to reestablish herself at Northshore. Before Cady Heron came into the picture, Regina was the shit. Everyone either wanted to be her or be with her. She was untouchable, the closest thing to god that the losers of Northshore would ever be lucky enough to come across. Regina lost her man, her body, and her pride, but she wasn't going to stay down for long. Senior year. Holy shit. Rodrick thought he wouldn't make it to senior year at all. 12 years of listening (but not really listening) to teachers, 12 years of cheating on tests, 12 years of being bored of his mind. Finally, his prison sentence was over, well, almost over. He was finally ready to start taking his music career more seriously. No more getting stoned during rehearsals, no more quitting the band and then coming back the next day, no more messing around. Both of them wanted to change. Both of them were taking the same credit recovery class. It was like the universe decided to throw them together for a reason. They both could learn something from the other. They were each other's charity cases.

Regina George's life is built through control, until Rodrick Heffley crashes into it. He's loud, reckless, and completely unimpressed by her status. What starts as irritation turns into something far more dangerous: feelings. Rodrick Heffley was a total nobody. But, since reuniting a world-famous band by freak accident, he has a taste of fame. A taste is more than anyone at school has, and Regina George cannot stand it. So, despite her three most formidable years at NSH, she decides to transfer during her senior year to a smaller school in a more rural area that just so happens to be her rivaling school: Crossland High. Rodrick Heffley is one step closer to graduation, but here's the kicker: if he doesn't graduate with at least all C's, his parents plan to dismantle his band and make him start a real job (since college is off the table) instead of living out some rockstar fantasy. Rodrick knows his smarts lie elsewhere, so he has to come up with some sort of plan to save his GPA. In order to survive Crosslands, Regina must lie her way to the top, a habit she meant to kill but couldn't help resurrect in this new social climate. When Rodrick Heffley, the racoon-faced loser, finds out about her secret, she has to withhold her end of the bargain to keep said secret: help him keep his band. Along the way, she realizes there are more creative ways to lie, and that there are some people she doesn't have to lie to.
