She doesn't want to help them because they are strangers, and she's seen what happened to Rohan. But something in her blood encourages her to act as a guide. At least for the time being. There will be lots of elements from both The LOTR and The Hobbit and The Silm, and I tweaked in few cultures and time differences and all the things that would happen differently due to this AU. Being a politician's kid can be stressful. Even more stressful than an ordinary childhood. Which is why Jinora, Ikki, Meelo, and Rohan all have there own ways of blowing off steam.
