Desiree has never had a good Christmas. Tragedy follows her, and it strikes on this holiday in the form of an angel tree topper named Anael. Too early in her life she had to witness the deaths of both her grandmother and mother at the hands of this tree topper. Her boyfriend brings out the angel once again, and Desiree must decide: forgive Anael, or live her whole life swallowed by her own pain.

The first Christmas after the birth of their son, Derek and Sheila set up their tree in their new home and decorate it. Two year later, Juliette's mother falls to her death when her foot gets caught and twisted in a string of Christmas lights. After her traumatic experiences, Juliette soon meets Jackson. After years of getting to know each other, they fall in love and Jackson proposes. Soon Christmas arrives and the couple start to decorate their place. But when the Christmas tree only needs one thing adding to complete it, What will Juliette's reaction be when she witnesses the love of her life put the angel on top of the Christmas tree?
