"What did you say to Papa yesterday?" Adhvita stood in front of him, eyes blazing with pain and fury. Her tears were ready to fall, but her pride held them back - for now. Ibrahim's heart sank. He had never imagined that the girl he once called his faith would look at him like he was a stranger. He tried to hold her hand. She pushed him away and shouted, "MAINE POOCHA AAPNE KYA KAHA THA KAL PAPA SE?" He couldn't speak. As if something was choking his throat. Red eyes. Silent tears. Fear. Not of being wrong - but of losing her. "...Divorce." The word barely escaped his lips. A loud slap followed. Her world shattered. "So you're leaving me?" she whispered, broken. He closed his eyes, nodded slowly. She trembled. Held his hands. Kissed them. "Just once... say it's a lie, Jaana..." Her tears fell on his hands like drops of pain. "I'll die without you." Her voice cracked, her soul screamed. She fell to his feet. Begging. Crying. Shaking. "Please don't leave me, Jaana... please... take me with you..." No one stopped him. No one held her. Moving past something is a hard thing to do but just some times you can stop and take a break. A short story to pass time. I wrote this story for a story writing competition and the theme was "on Halloween you a see a person wearing a mask but the mask seems real." And there was a time limit of one hour, I had already wasted 20 mins for nothing and I came up with this on spot.. I was disqualified as i couldn't complete it on time and it exceeded the word count of 50 words 🤦🏻‍♀️ so...here you go.. Happy reading.

It was just me that night at home, I didn't see my mom till the next morning. Its hard for my family we don't have that much money and I have to watch my little 2 year old brother when mom went to work.she had at least 3 or 4 jobs just to have money for stuff we needed. My father says I should of never been born, I heard him tell me that so many times I started to believe him.

Through the eyes of an abuser but make no mistake this is not an excuse. "Why the glum face? Lighten up a little, Jeong!" Minji encouraged, softly elbowing her in the ribs while she danced to the intoxicating music. "I shouldn't be so sad." Jeong reminded herself, swaying to the rhythm of the music. She tried to get into the flow of the song but she just couldn't. Thoughts lingered in her mind. "The party's fun isn't it?" Someone next to her asked. Jeong turned around only to realize she didn't recognize them. "Yeah." She agreed solemnly. "So why do you act like it isn't?" They questioned. "W-what?" Jeong stumbled over her words. "Why do you act like your life is horrible when thousands of other people are experiencing the same things as you?" They snapped. Jeong blinked once, twice, her breath caught in her throat. Finally, she realized who she was talking to. The mirror. What do you call it when life doesn't suck but you're still depressed? When life is decent enough but you still don't want to be here anymore? Join 18 year old Jeong Hyun on her adventures through life. Her life may not be entirely horrible but for some reason she can't stand it anymore. I take that back. Her life only looks good on the outside.

This is a story about How Everest Evans, a gloomy twenty year old college student, and a forever nineteen year old ghost meet in the Morgue where she works. Together they set a goal to figure out the mystery of the ghost's death, as he cant seem to remember much of anything including his own name. Along the way they form a bond that goes far past what friendship normally would. Though there wasn't really anything normal about their whole situation in The first place. Boundaries are broken and feelings are established, but the complications of falling for a dead man are something the Everest will have to overcome if she wants to remain comfortable in this bizarre relationship. What happens after the details of the ghost's unfortunate end are uncovered. Will things stay the same or will everything change? Read on to find out. (The timeline is set in 2002 currently.)

Every ending is supposed to be happy. Most of the prefers the story which ends happily. They prefer stories where two people ends with together and lives happily ever after. But there are some stories which ends happily but two people who are supposed to be together won't end up together. This is that kind of story. I named it IN THE MIDST OF BLUE because, for me it means no matter how many people are there in a room. Eyes will always find and wants to see that one person. The title is all about metaphor. This is my first novel I've ever written. I'm not much of a writter, it's just a try which I gave and also which I'm proud of. Thanks for all the readers who gave their time to read this novel.
