(Cover art by me) After a strange but clarifying conversation in a grimy school restroom, Sal sets his eyes on befriending Travis and discovering the gorey details of him as a person. However, Sal gets a little too close, and some dreadful feelings arise. Now the issue is trying to figure out how to drop the hints without "incurring Travis' wrath", whether that would actually happen or not. Meanwhile, Travis struggles to keep himself from fighting these changes. Everything is new, his brain is very stubborn in trying to reject it. He can't understand why he suddenly wants to follow along, and he hates that he does, but he lets it happen. Unfortunately this doesn't come without consequences. OK ew cheesy description this is an "AU" where it's just SLIIIGHTLY more realistic. Like, without big snot monsters and shit, and the cult isn't as powerful. So, not much different, but more room for a happy ending. Also sal's pagan, cause why not? ⚠️‼️ This will contain: depictions of domestic abuse (obviously), alcohol abuse, self harm, intrusive thoughts, disordered eating, planned murder, death threats, homophobia (obviously), conversion therapy, drugging, and memory manipulation. Loads of angst. When I actually end up writing it. Which is probably gonna take a while. Because writers block. Enjoy :3

[ REWRITING 10-3-22 ] In this world, everyone has a soulmate. They can communicate in different ways, as well. Some people write on their body, so it shows up on their soulmate's body. Other people get a special diary printed that has their name specifically written on it so they can send longer messages to their mates. Some people get lucky and their lover lives in their neighbourhood, but sometimes they could live on the opposite side of the planet.

Travis Phelps is a lonely boy that has no friends only his Bible, will he survive after meeting the boy he can't put his finger on? How can Travis, a straight Christian boy mess up so badly into liking a little blueberry like Sal? (Caution: slow updating)

A boy named Travis is going through a lot of religious trauma and suffering with self-harm , he finally meets what he so calls his " Escape of Hope . " The Escape of Hope " is also a boy; a boy named Sal . He , Sal , helped Travis find his true self , helped him to not live in the shadows , the shadows of his father , and forced religion . But ... Travis will still continue to be haunted by his past , every time he looks on the deep scars on his arms . Remembering all the pain he 's been through . All the pain that his dad put him through . All the sorrows and cries of his past self . Will he go back into the depressed mindset of his past self ? Will his own escape watch him fall apart ? Fall apart in front of his own very eyes .. ? Will Sal , Travis' " Escape of Hope " be able to save him this time ? I don 't think Sal can this time .. he tries . But he fails . He cries as he looks at Travis' lifeless body , laying in the hospital bed .

Larry had a dirty secret. One that made him seem like a freak. It wasn't something as easily explained as an extra finger or lost limb. No, he couldn't explain this to even his best friend, Sal. However as things start to heat up between Sal and Larry, some news may be released to Sal that he has a hard time believing. That is, until his love interest disappears without a single trace.
