One morning, an aspiring author wakes up to find herself in the world of her favorite TV show, at the beginning of the season where everything goes downhill. This Good Friday, may we devote all our praise and affection and gratitude to the Savior who in His Love for us bore our sins and our pain. Jesus is Worthy of all Praise. ✝️ Please reflect on the depth and love of His Sacrifice as you read these words. I'm so so grateful for the Holy Spirit giving the words for this poem to me and writing this through me, the Truth and depth of Jesus' Sacrificial Love for us all is truly incredible, beyond understanding, and I'm honored to express it. The Lord is so gracious- He alone Saved me and now He's the One enabling me to praise Him through His Spirit. His Love is incredible. Jesus loves you, so so much, He loves us all. To be willing to bear all our pain for us. How Good and Merciful is He! "..Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed." ~ 1 Peter 2:24 "Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed." ~ Isaiah 53:4-5 (Upon praying and reflecting, I have a feeling I'm called to write something more here. Perhaps a final line and maybe some others too. So tomorrow I will definitely pray more about this and spend time in God's Word and hopefully more words will be added soon! 😊) I hope you've had a blessed Good Friday full of worshipful praise. About a month ago, I had this dream.. which started out as a nightmare but then turned -by God's Grace- into a dream of Jesus comforting me with a kind of Peace that only He can give. It was one of the most meaningful dreams I've ever had- I remember the feeling of safety that I experienced in that moment as He woke and soothed me. :') It was during that dream that I felt called to write this poem in gratitude. There's also been many times that I've prayed during a nightmare -sometimes while not even knowing it's just a dream- and every single time, right when I pray is when I wake up. God wakes me up, making everything okay, and this pattern has definitely taught me to cry out to Him. That's the meaning behind the second paragraph in this poem. I've never really thought of myself as much of a poet. I barely have any experience around this type of writing. The fact that this came to me so easily and the way I could express so much emotion through it really shows that it was the Holy Spirit's work through me- it was a sudden gift and I'm grateful to have been chosen to write this. :) May all Glory be to Him! <3

The Sorcerer reappeared in a hall of the castle. He needed to be away from the Swordbearers' magic-although he was ashamed to admit it, the forces he had come in contact with were more powerful than he had first thought. He'd been confident that, since the Swordbearers were young, they wouldn't know their power enough to wield it effectively against his experienced magic. It took about five minutes for him to work off the freezing spell then, shivering, he made his way down the hall of the castle and, muttering mysterious words, took the arrow out of his chest. His shoulder ached with every step, and he chanted under his breath to reverse the effects of his burn. The Magician's meeting with the Lords and Ladies of the Middle Ground had probably reached the end of feasting and was moving on to more important matters. In the meeting room tables were overturned, food and drinks were splattered on the floor, and well- the place was a general disaster. Isirien stopped in his tracks. "I sense your presence," he said. "Come out of hiding." "My, you've changed brother," a female voice said as someone in a black hood appeared. "I can't hide from you like I used to. But neither can you hide from me." "Soul Thief," Isirien said with dread of recognition. "Why are you here?" She drew back her hood, revealing her pale and dead features. Her eyes were empty and ghostly hollow. "Allow me to show you. I escaped the tombs where the Three Swordbearers imprisoned me. But the descendants are arising."

As the Autumn leaves fall down from the trees and shades of orange fill the forest and the sky the days grow colder. Shelter is a must, but what happens when bad memories return and a shy hen finds herself fearing her flockmates... will she find the courage to join them in the warm coop? I wrote this for a contest hosted by @sapphire_pages_ !

During a night that was filled with shortcomings and tears -in the wonderful, marvelous way that He always turns rough times around for His Good Purpose- God gave me this incredible and profound revelation of peace. It started with the painful realization of my iniquity and how unworthy I am on my own.. the feeling felt like the dark void described in the poem.. and by His Grace God brought forth the sudden and powerful realization of the Peace, the Security that relies on Christ Alone and not on ourselves- the Holy Spirit blessed me with being able to feel how comforting this truly is, having all reliance on ourselves broken to make way for full trust in Jesus. We don't rely on being worthy, our safety depends on being cherished, loved, forgiven, and held- and by Jesus we always are. This poem is based on this incredible spiritual experience God graciously blessed me with through His Holy Spirit. I hope I've managed to relay the beautiful message the Holy Spirit has given me that day, that wonderful peace of finding comfort in realizing we cannot and don't depend on anything of ourselves but rather our Security is entirely in Lord Jesus who will never let us go! It's a Peace that transcends understanding, and I just pray I've shared a glimpse of it and that this may bring glory to our Savior and Protector, the Wonderful God Almighty. (I'm finishing writing this very late at night, and if tomorrow God calls me to add or improve upon anything, I will. I'm just so grateful He's led me and let me to finish this! God's Plans truly always prevail! (And our Security is truly always in Him.) Praise God!
