"Well, we have a young lady here in the hospital. We found this number on her person and decided to reach out. Is she a family member sir?" Sam was growing more confused by the second. Who was this lady in the hospital and how did she wind up having their old phone number? "No ma'am, but I'd happily come down to investigate. She could be connected to an old case my partner and I had." "Understood, I'll write your name down and have a badge ready when you arrive. Take care." The line buzzed and Sam turned his phone off. He turned to his wife and Son, an apologetic look on his face, and sighed. "It's alright, go." His wife nodded.
