My thoughts about Scarred by Catherine Khaperska

Now the story of these two has never been fully recovered... But there are different theories. They could have become lovers, torn apart by the challenges of their differences. They could have become friends, using their differences to help themselves. Or they could have become enemies. Leaders of their warring kingdoms they may have become horrified of the differences between them. And forced to fight each other to eliminate the threat.

I wrote this free verse poem a week ago. It is a recollection of my past life leading up to the present. I hope it makes sense because it is an extremely personal poem. Hopefully others can relate. Also this contains graphic material.

Did events in this story really happen? Are these real situations? Is the main charachter really you? Did you just make this up? Is this all fake? Well, the world may never know.

She touched his face, feeling the contours of his harsh skin. Never had she wished for the return of her vision. But tonight, she only wished for one thing. To be able to open her eyes and not see darkness. "I want to see you." There was hopeless longing in her voice. He was quiet. "Why won't you tell me what you look like?" By the way his shoulders tensed, she knew she hit a sore spot. She couldn't help herself. She wanted to know why others warned her to keep her distance from him. He didn't answer right away. But what he said next brought deep anguish to her heart. She didn't realize how badly he thought about himself. "I don't want to scare you."

A few short stories on general life for people with depression, anxiety aswell lgbt+ issues among many other struggles which sting hard when you can't stand too tall alone. I admit, for the majority of these stories, they are from my perspective; however I am fully aware of the fact that I am most certainly not the only person of whom suffer from the previously mentioned.
