Aliens are real. They infested Earth in hope to find their "mate". They call themself the Matters. ************************************************************************************************* "I'm sitting, just sitting. I don't breathe. How could I breathe when I know they can hear every sound I make, even the slightest one? They, I mean the Aliens, don't have a name. We didn't give them one because it would mean we care about them: the last thing we want is getting to know them. I mean who would want to? Despite our obvious resentment, they told us how they were called: the Matters." A special thanks to @Stup3f1X for the cover!!!!! #1 in Alien

The balance of power on the planet Rychter has changed. The battle for Brekka has left the once mighty fortress city crippled. The gateway to the south and the first line of defence for Rychter's human colonists, it is vulnerable for the first time in living memory. With the brutish Scraegan warbands in the badlands biding their time and gathering strength, it seems more bloodshed is inevitable. Ryke Vannigan, commander of an elite squadron of Hunter-Killer battle mechs, lived through that siege, but when a coalition of political and military leaders from the North descend on the reeling populace of Brekka to take control of the war he finds himself pushed to the margins. In the eyes of the North, Brekka's leaders have failed in their duty, and if the Scraegans can no longer be contained, they must be destroyed. He and his companions are soon drafted to join an army with a single purpose: complete extermination. The battle for Brekka might be over, but the war for Rychter is about to begin. || BOOK 2 in the HUNTER-KILLER SERIES

While I dislike Season 5 far less than others, in particular the finale, there are a number of story routes I wish they'd gone and things they'd covered that seemingly get brushed over. I also didn't love a number of the explanations, such as the answer to what the Upside Down is amongst others. I also would have liked more of a narrative focus on the OG characters as opposed to new ones like Holly, Derek, etc. So, without further ado, here is Stranger Things Season 5 rewritten.

Season 2 of The Virus Within * * * * * Life isn't easy, and that's doubly true when you're a zombie surrounded by humans, a crazy redhead, and a far-too-curious scientist. Once you add in a long-lost sister and a Terror who doesn't know how to zombie, peace and quiet are the last things you'll find. Reports of a Nightstalker attack come mere weeks before the third wave is due, and Trinity is one of the few who have the necessary skills to take on such a zombie. Leaving her sister in the safety of the Stronghold, Trinity joins the rest of the group as they embark on a road trip to locate the feral creature before it can kill anyone else. Trouble looms on the horizon like a thunderstorm, and where there's thunder, there's lightning. You better pack your dish soap because the third wave isn't waiting for anyone. Viktor didn't expect to be abducted by aliens when he went to school one morning, and he certainly didn't expect to be thrown into the alien equivalent of a dog-fighting ring, either. But when fighting for his life quickly becomes his routine, will he be able to muster up the strength to break that mold? Especially when the fate of humanity rests on his shoulders? *** The Vokkrus, a warrior alien species, go to Earth with the intention to 'rescue' the human species from their dying planet. The catch is that they believe humans to be nonsentient and incapable of intelligent thought. They are treated as nothing more than the common animal. They are a commodity, something to fawn over and ogle at. Humanity's strength and stamina are nearly unrivaled on this new planet, and when Viktor is taken to an alien fighting ring, he quickly dominates the competition. Mercy has no place in the arena. When Viktor is adopted by the leader of the Vokkrus, an intimidating alien whose intentions are unclear, he is forced to shed his wariness and convince the alien king to save humanity from his accidental oppression. *** Please don't advertise other stories in the comments!
