Bree didn't think she needed an adventure. She was just fine with her books, her library, her spot. Sure, she'd left her dreams of publishing her books on the back burner and if anyone looked just a little too close they would probably be able to tell that her life was just a bit... sad. But she had her books. She was fine. Until she decided to follow in her mother's footsteps and travel half way across the globe to Scotland, only to meet a wild haired artist with a boat. So much for fine, bring-on what-ifs.

In the storm‑lashed villages of North‑East Scotland, nothing behaves the way it should - not the weather, not the livestock, and certainly not the people trying to film a documentary about them. The Weathering follows Mr Rex, reluctant narrator and chronicler of rural calamity, as he attempts to document a community where goats stage uprisings, relics are scattered by cats with theological objections, and BBC crews are routinely defeated by wind, rain, and bingo groups. Each chapter unravels another layer of pastoral chaos: the harbour battered by weather, the infamous Garden Centre Massacre, the church hall that refuses to stay quiet, the library undone by sacred objects and feline interference, and the academics who arrive to explain everything and succeed in explaining nothing. Part ethnography, part farce, part myth‑making, The Weathering is a study of how ordinary places become epic when the world refuses to stay still. A story of chaos, compassion, and livestock with agency.

Updated every Saturday! Drawing. It's Gabrielle's only passion, the one that keeps her going when she's sinking. She only has a year left to spend at school with all her friends, a year to get mediocre marks. A year she won't be spending in France. Her parents sent her to a private school in Edinburgh. She's timid and tends to blend in, and it's without wanting to that she attracts Maela's attention, a pest who intends to make her life a living hell. At Theon's first party of the year, Gabrielle is publicly humiliated, leading her to hide in the gardens. That's when Taehoon, a Corean mercenary, appears. The bad news is, he won't have time to kill the schoolgirl before he's arrested. The good news is that he'll be doing community service at the academy, which is short of teachers. While Taehoon plans to do his job, he doesn't plan to fall in love with his target or reconnect with the past. As for Gabrielle, she just wants to get through her year in peace and get her diploma, but how can you do that when the wolf is out to get you?

2019 WATTY WINNER FOR HISTORICAL FICTION. Charity loves Ian. Ian thinks Charity is an incorrigible flirt and he is certainly not tempted. Not one bit! Or at least that's what he tells himself... Bright, optimistic, and a bit naïve, Charity Crewe has always been in love with Ian Douglass. And it would certainly help if he loved her back... just a little bit! Though Ian was raised on the estate and generously given lessons with the Crewe siblings, no one, especially Ian, has ever forgotten he is the housekeeper's son. Charity might not care what anyone thinks of her, but Ian certainly does, so he is determined to protect her reputation as well as his own. He's worked too hard to secure his position to risk his livelihood, not to mention his mother's. He has discouraged her affections at every turn... with only a few moments of weakness. However, while Charity is away gaining some polish, circumstances drastically change and Charity must decide if she is willing to risk everything, even complete and utter ruin, in pursuit of the man she loves. Authors notes: This is Book One of The Crewe Legacy, a four-book series in progress, involving the Crewe siblings and other characters you'll meet along the way. I hope you enjoy Ian and Charity's story and that everyone else intrigues you! CONTENT WARNING: this story contains some mature sexual content, descriptions of spousal abuse, child abuse, murder, and suicide.

When floating between a blooming love and a spiralling career, how far can you swim until your lungs give out? ******* Valerie Carter was a 21 year old dreamer from Greece. Although studying to become a researcher at The University of Oxford, she still dreamed of a life with novels and romance, and well, horses. That's the whole reason behind why she took up horse riding itself. But when she meets the obnoxious Sebastian Osborne of the Equestrian club, she starts to question her choices of joining it. But they would part ways eventually. Right? Sebastian Osborne was a typical British not-so-gentlemanly bloke with some family issues and a short temper. He loved athletics, but what truly attracted him was the beautiful tunes of a piano. For him, playing music was just like describing a character or a painting, detailed, yet faceless. Although loving was easy, his past made it difficult for him to express it, until he met a certain crimson haired girl with a contagious smile who changed something. But when Sebastian's brother, Felix returns back home, unravelling all the buried betrayals, keeping away from him becomes more important than the growing feelings which he was bent on to resent. More so, when Valerie's future takes a turn in a direction very much familiar to Felix. Struggling to manage life and love, how long until their past catches up to the present? A/N : Please note that I do not have full knowledge of some things mentioned in the story, all those things are written as per the information I was able to gather hence, I might be wrong in many cases. Feel free to correct me, I would be glad. Thank you. WARNING : This content contains mild cursing and some mature themes. Advised for readers atleast above 15 years of age.

Victorian Scotland in 1875 didn't present a woman with many options. Katherine Cameron was too old to marry, too high born to be a housekeeper, too uneducated to be a governess, from too disreputable a family to be a companion and too skinny to be a mistress. The quiet independence she'd created wasn't everything she wanted, but she knew it was the best she was likely to get. Then an unexpected meeting with Andrew Spears, a fascinating American about whom she knows very little, launches both their hearts on an adventure through the lives of servants, industrialists, peers and prostitutes, from the Second City of the Empire to a beautiful hidden Highland glen, along the cutting edge of the wonders of the Victorian Age and finally face to face with her shocking past - and his secret life.
