An entry from a previous competition, this short story follows young, innocent Colette and her secluded life in the Canadian mountains. She quickly learns the importance of choice, courage, and most importantly, trust.

Matthew Leon takes on the job of the lighthouse keeper that has been passed down in his family for years. Which means he'll have to live all alone on a tiny island 10 km off the main land, couped in an old, cold tower. It was simple: keep the light on, and if you have time, help the wildlife around the island. Except one night, something strange and unusual washes up on the shore, twisting his beliefs of what is real and what isn't.
