I've seen the sunset, I've watched all of the colors that I will never see again sink into darkness. I hated sunsets, they reminded me of myself and how all of the colors that could've been in my life turned black, like my heart did as a child when I was put into jail. No name, no history. It was pure chance that I met Dallas Winston, we were both young criminals headed for a new life in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The footsteps and shadow get closer and reach the top of the roof. He sits down on the wall to the left of me, facing the wind, looking out over the empty land. I glance over at him, lighting a cigarette in his mouth, and he looks over at me. I like The Outsiders, so uhm I wrote a fanfic about it. This is Maryann Elenor Brooks... First time sharing my OC, kinda nervous 😣

Preferences based on the book and movie called The Outsiders. Most chapters are preferences but some will be short stories based off our favorite greasers. (All rights go to S.E HINTON for the creation of The Outsiders except for the names of the kids and other characters)

When Juliette Valance, a Soc, and Johnny Cade, a greaser's worlds collide, controversy and a burning desire for one another creep up on their lives. Will they choose their undeniable love for each other, or stick with what they're familiar with?

JULIET CURTIS HATED SHAKESPEARE. She hated the guy from the moment she found out her mother named her after the starring lady in one of his tragic tales. She couldn't wrap her head around how something could take such a dark turn in just a few pages. It seemed unrealistic, purely a fantasy. Oh how wrong she was. Her own life would take a tragic turn just like the Shakespearean plays. There were no jousts, beheadings, or poison, but there was death and more than one. Most of them she had no involvement in, but one. Dallas Winston was dead because Juliet loved him and he loved her back. Dallas loved very little, but when he did he loved hard. It's what made his end so ill-fated, Juliet's just the same. Their tale was truly just another Shakespearean tragedy.

PONYBOY CURTIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN GOOD AT TWO THINGS: school and pining after Gabrielle McCormick from afar. Too bad she doesn't even know he exists. Gaby was everything a Soc is supposed to be-rich, beautiful, and completely wrapped up in her world of shopping, gossip, and status. To her, greasers were nothing more than troublemakers who don't belong in her perfectly manicured life. That was until her parents, desperate to get her grades up, forced her to get a tutor. Ponyboy Curtis, of all people, was assigned the job. Neither of them were happy about the arrangement. Yet, as forced study sessions turn into reluctant conversations, lines blurred between their worlds. Gaby couldn't deny there was something about him, something beyond the greasy hair and worn-out jackets. And maybe, just maybe, she was starting to see things differently. As for Pony, he may be book smart, but when it comes to love, he's about to learn just how stupid it can make you.

All the characters (made by SE Hinton) are in their twenties navigating marriage, children (m-preg), and well... problems. Modern AU. Gay. Trigger warning for sexual assault and child molestation.

I have a pretty big reputation you could say. Making varsity cheer as a freshman, having Kaylee Holt as a best friend, being the little sister of Dallas Winston, and of course being the girlfriend of the bad boy of the school. The list goes on and on. Honestly, I don't see what's so great about half those things, I can't help doing what I love, who I'm friends with, or who I'm related to. Oh, if only I could help who I fell for. People say I'm too young to be in love, that I'm just some stupid girl who only likes a guy. They think I don't know what it's like to be in love, but if only they knew. I don't care how many people tell me that all he'll do is break my heart and cheat on me, I really don't. The sad thing is, I know he'll do most of those things at one time or another, but I'll always love him. I'll love him as long as I live, no matter what anybody says. In this modern alternate universe (AU) spinoff of the classic SE Hinton novel, The Outsiders, Dallas Winston has a little sister. Savannah Winston and Sodapop Curtis are in love. When Soda gets drafted to the army, Savannah and Soda give each other their final acts of love....including losing their virginity. Then, 16-year-old Savannah finds herself pregnant, facing enemies from her past, and must complete her pregnancy with just her friends and family-no Soda included. Completed May 2014.
