The world has become a superhuman society and about 80% of the world's population now has some kind of special trait. With the rise of quirks, the world and its people were endangered by people who use abused their powers for their own selfish reasons. But in humanity's most desperate time was when people who decided to put their lives in danger to protect others with their powers. Those people were the first Heroes of this world and since then heroing has become a profession that everyone admires and most people want do in the future. But that is not the case for our protagonist, who gave up on that dream years ago due to the fact that he was a part of the 20%, that had not quirks. So what will happen when he is given the most powerful device in the galaxy previously used by another hero. Will he live up to become as great as a hero as his predecessor or will he fail to protect this world ?

Ketsumi Chiyama was a happy, cheerful, girl living in China with her parents until tragedy struck. At age four, she attacked her friend Jin after her Quirk had manifested, and she had to move to Beijing or she would have been put in a Quirk detention camp; then at age 8 and a half, her parents were killed in a villain attack in Beijing, with the total deaths being 215. She was then shipped off to live with her paternal aunt's family in Japan, and she lived with them for 6 months, that is, until they found out the full capabilities of her Quirk. Her aunt decided to put her in an orphanage because she was 'afraid that Ketsumi would suck the whole family dry,' so Ketsumi Chiyama was dropped off at the orphanage along with a letter about the dangers of her Quirk.... Ketsumi decided that day that she would become a hero to ensure that nobody would have to endure what she saw that cruel day, and then she met Hitoshi Shinso, who became her best friend and vowed to do the same. It seems to fill the room and capture the rest of the audience too. They're all enraptured by the sheer presence of this girl rocking forward on her toes, the heels of her boots tipping up off the stage. She looks like she belongs up there, and just for a moment, her gaze sweeps the crowd and Itsuka could swear their eyes meet. Even at first sight, not knowing the girl's name or anything else about her, Itsuka knows she's screwed.
