Sonic stumbles upon an old trinket that looked really important so he took it to Sonia, his book smart sister, who discovers it was the key to finding Hamanaptra. Ancient city of the dead. Always ready for adventure Sonic was all set to be there for Sonia every step of the way. Until she insists they bring the very person who found the artefact in the first place. Shadow the Hedgehog, broody, emo, rival Shadow. Just when Sonic thinks it can't get any worse a undead mummy is awakened and becomes convinced Sonic is his ancestor and won't take no for an answer. It's a race against time as the three work to send this undead stalker back to the underworld. Sonic's never lost a race before, but there's a first time for everything right?

While playing truth or dare, shadow was dared to dance with anyone of his choice by the end of the night. Shadow agrees, but he is more focused on trying to find sonic, who had snuck away. When he finds the blue hedgehog, he sees that he was crying on the roof. Maria is a ghost and has been watching over shadow, Black doom is Shadows dad and Mephiles is Shadows other sibling now, along with Eclipse. Mephiles has a crush on Silver even after he starts dating Blaze and brakes up with him, Scrooge is also still in love with Sonic's brother Manic even after Manic broke up with him and hates him. Surge has a crush on Manic and Sonya Sonic's sister is in a relationship with Barnaby to spite her brothers hating him. Infinite is with Gadget and "Sonic Prime" Metal Sonic is In love with Rusty Rose.

What happened to Shadow? He's nowhere to be seen, did he finally got annoyed by all his friends? Sonic had a race with Shadow, not knowing that that'll be his last race with him. Sonic and his friends will have an adventure to find Shadow, before anything else weird happens.
