Shame Stories

I look at other things people have gone through and I often wonder if I even have a right to feel the way I do. I deserve to be treated well. I deserve to be accepted. However, part of me falters. Part of me believes differently. These words are written for people who share similar feelings. I hope you find comfort in that you are not alone. Sending my best. - V

Short poem! If your holding on to something and have never told anyone because it causes you great pain to even think about. If you've done something you consider horrible and people have offered forgiveness & understanding but you can't do the same for yourself. #Yatiz is a story focusing on the lives of young people in a small seaside municipality called Carmen in the southern part of the Philippines. The name is based on a cuss word here, "Yati/Yatis" that has no English equivalent but is closest to WTF. It will be focusing on themes of slut-shaming, sexuality, family pressure, grades, identity, colorism, cyber-bullying, toxic masculinity, peer pressure and many more issues prevalent among the youth of the Philippines.

There are no villains anymore. No heroes. Everyone is suffering. There are just desperate people now." The hero ends up in the villain's doorstep, broken and desperate after the defeat on the infinity war, seeking comfort in the strangest place. "I had nowhere else to go."

All things taken together, Anya considered herself an expert at managing her asthma. Which makes this stupid slip-up all the more embarrassing. (Or: Anya has an asthma flare-up. Damian is there, but all she wants is to be alone. Doesn't she?)

How amazing is that in this very moment countless things are happening? Every person has a story that is special somehow and all we need is just little attention to observe the happenings around us. School was hell like enough sometimes, right? Students were only rewarded for good behaviour and good grades and not everyone deserved to be given the credit. There were bullies who acted as teacher's favourites who still came out unscathed. There were teacher's who favoured students, maybe even kicking up a little romance with them. Bullies, victims, abused or depressed students, students getting bad grades or failing. They didn't receive any recognition but now it is their time to shine. Everything that is swept under the filthy carpet of the principle's office and behind those classroom doors will be revealed and given an award. But there's a catch... along with a reward comes a punishment, with the whole school as the audience to witness everything coming out of the shadows. Read ahead to experience a dystopian set education system where justice is served within it's own premises.

It makes her feel like she has a chance to get away from her parents and to live a happy life without scars on her body and self- esteem problems.But what Kaice doesn't know is that one person can change all her problems. For better or for worst?
