(Sequel to Watty Award Winner "Dear Sydney") College isn't for everyone. Sometimes school is meant to end after the twelveth grade. So when Sydney Porter decided to leave James Madison University after her sophomore year, her boyfriend of two years did what any good boyfriend would do: he encouraged her to follow her dreams. So Sydney followed her dreams of becoming a concert violinist...all the way to New York City. 350 miles is less than 3,000, but it's still a ways away. And what better to do during long-distance relationships...than write letters? Yet success in a career sometimes means leaving behind people who used to mean the world to you...and sometimes letters become addressed to whoever will receive them, instead of to the person they'd been written to for years. Because, as much as we don't want them to... Every letter has to end. **And naturally, it's written in Dear Sydney's signature style...so don't worry.** First official chapter published: April 24th, 2017 Highest Rank: #77 in Teen Fiction on 9/7/17 Cover by @Queen_InTheWild

"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, 'O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?' Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play *goes on* and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?" John Keating, The Dead Poet's Society Carpe diem, seize the day! Just a collection of poetry. My own and other's. If I wrote it, and you steal it and murder you <3 Requests open! if you have poetry you want to share (can be things you wrote, or poems you really like) PM me and we'll put it up, let's talk poetry!

Three months ago, four kids were run off the road by a drunk driver and pronounced dead at the scene, leaving their families to grieve and wonder why accidents had to happen. The four left behind families, and namely, five specific siblings: all seniors in high school but not all similar. The five don't interact too often, but a common thought brings them together: what if their siblings had been murdered? As they begin to work together to find out who killed their older siblings, the five begin to realize that they might be getting in over their heads--for the four families have secrets that intertwine them beyond what anyone could have imagined, and the five teens find themselves in possession of the very secrets that may have got their siblings killed in the first place.

Dating is difficult in any culture, at any age. It's hard to find someone who you want to spend time with and who also returns the affection and desire. It's hard to put all of your trust in someone who could break it at any given moment. It's even harder when your father is one of the most famous singers in the country. Samantha Greene Carter is the youngest child of teen-pop-sensation-turned-superstar Lincoln Carter. His is a household name, and hers is becoming one as well. And from the time she turns 16, Samantha goes through relationship after relationship, each one turning out to be in it for the fame. And yet each time, she lets herself fall harder and harder, until it all becomes too much. But all it takes is one person, one man with a true heart, to win her over. As long as he doesn't turn out like the rest. (NOT A SEQUEL TO RECALLING LINCOLN CARTER. Samantha's parents ARE the main characters from that book, but this one is completely separate and requires NO prior knowledge of any characters) First chapter published: 5/29/17 Highest Rank: #200 in Teen Fiction on 7/22/17

As I began to sob, Michael spun me around and held my face in his hands. I tried to hold back the tears. I had promised myself I wouldn't cry. At least not in front of everyone. Especially not in front of Michael. He kissed my forehead and held me tightly as he comforted me. I held back tears and stared blankly ahead at room of people. Michael rubbed my back and hummed softly. "I'm okay." I said after a while. Michael took my face in his hands once more and stared into my eyes. The worried look on his face told me he knew I was lying. I wasn't okay. But I didn't want Michael to know that. I studied the ground. Avoiding eye contact with him. He could see through me. He could read me like a book. Just as always.
