After deciding to write a story on her hero, Sephiroth, and the rumors that say he may still live, Verna's boss sends her out into the world of Gaia to discover the truth. While tracking down Sephiroth, she begins to expand her news series on AVALANCHE and Shin-Ra. Shin-Ra Inc. has grown angry with the newspaper and is trying stop her and the newspaper.
