Hell survived Vox's little crash-out session, and a certain four demons are pretending that means they're perfectly fine. Especially now, at the height of his power. Unfortunately, an old emotion he once tried to bury is resurfacing, aimed at three people he very much does not need it for. Husk still acts like he's one bad hand away from walking out-but he doesn't anymore. He listens. He stays. That's new, and he hates how much it matters, especially now that the number of situationships around him has made actually giving a damn a real pain in the ass. Angel Dust is still stuck under Valentino's thumb, worked harder than ever now that Vox is out of the picture. Between survival and exhaustion, he doesn't have the time-or the energy-to process the fact that his feelings might be real... and worse, that they might actually work. Lucifer does what he does best: acting perfectly fine. He hides behind charm and smiles, telling himself that the unfamiliar thump in his chest is just delusion-that his heart couldn't possibly start beating for anyone again after Lilith.
