You couldn't understand, even if you tried, the reason that she cries at night, the reason she tries to hide. Life is bigger and more powerful than people think. It possesses a spectrum that everyone experiences yet no one understands because of its unpredictability. Life throws you anything it wants to because life is the epitome of being a bastard. For instance, my senior year was full of twists that I think life was laughing at me the whole time. I was a student at Thomas Sharpe's Secondary School and all I wanted to do was keep my grades up while listening to new crappy pop music and spending time with people who are bound to be separated from me soon. Of course, I didn't get what I want because, like I said, life is a bastard. There is this one thing that really bothered me that year: my best friend since childhood, Cole Pierce, said things to me I never ever thought he would say. Boy, I don't even know how I handled that situation. I am known as Austin Barry, and this is not just a love story.

I'm not really sure how to describe this. It's just another of my experiences that I want to share with you, whoever is reading.

Skinny love: When two people love each other, but are too shy to admit it, yet they show it anyway. Alley Benson. She is what you would call an average sixteen year old girl. She is awkward, shy and hangs around with a group of four or five friends. She isn't really well known in her school, but she isn't entirely invisible; some people know of her existence, but not really many. Harley Mason. He is Alleys best friend due to the fact that their moms were best friends in school. Apparently they were attached at the hip, just like their kids are and always have been. Harley is a surfer, he is also shy and he is sometimes a bit too sarcastic for Alleys liking. They had the normal platonic kind of friendship... Until their teenage hormones kicked in. After that things began to change. Their feeling towards each other changed from friendship, to crushes, to liking each other. Till eventually they were head over heels for each other. It was obvious to everyone else, except them. Even their parents noticed something. It was obvious in the way their eyes shined when they were around each other. It was obvious in the way they stood close together. Too close for them to just be friends. It was obvious in the way they wouldn't help but smile at each other. But they were too shy to admit it. Yes in Greenwood high there was a known fact; Alley Benson and Harley Mason had a little case of skinny love.

I'm a mess

it seems that nowadays society provides unnecessary dangers that create illusions and images until eventually you can't tell what is real and not real minds are strained lives are broken realities are distorted and it feels like anything you wish for is hopeless.

These poems are just things I felt personally, or thought they were important. I enjoy writing them so I hope you all enjoy reading them. Thanks for the support!
