Maya was only 10 when she witnessed the brutal murder of her parents. Now at age 17, Maya is working for an elite group of assassins. Maya wants to get revenge on the people who took her parents away from her. Yet Maya still has a heart, and being an assassin is killing her slowly from the inside out with every kill she makes. Eventually, Maya gets an assignment that might kill her and her soul once and for all. Her mission: kill the prince.

These are some free verse poems that describe the physical effects of depression along with the slow death of a girl because of it, while paralleling it with the slow death of mother earth. Her last times were full of calamities just like how we unwillingly expect mother earth's will be. Depression can affect our body physically as well as mentally, and can cause many health disorders. At first, it may not be anything serious. Still, there will be physically bad feelings. When they and emotions become coworkers, it is so hard to bear.
