Severus is hated by basically everybody. His home life is no better than his school life. He's abused and bullied. And the only thing that brings him out of the harsh reality is Lily and books. One day James is bored, walking around with none of his friends. He was the only one with a free period from the marauders so he decided to wander around. Then he found Severus curled up under a tree reading an old book. What will he do? Say something? Hurt him? Or just stand there hoping not the be noticed by the Slytherin?
