Two more notes: This story picks up after the marriage of Hermione and Severus, about a few months since they were married in a sterile Ministry office in a quick ceremony. We all know the tropes about forced marriage from the Ministry of Magic, and the awkwardness/drama that ensued. There's so many more stories out there that encapsulate this part of the fanfic canon than I ever will, so please adopt your favorite opener. I promise I'll go back to some pieces via flashbacks, but for all intents and purposes, Hermione and Severus are begrudgingly married.
