The story follows Baylee Curtis, the youngest of the crew. How the death of her parents and being raised by her brothers and the gang on the east side affected her everyday life. Growing up Greaser isn't easy, especially for a twelve-year-old girl who's desperate to belong yet determined to prove she can stand on her own. Every day is a balancing act. Between childhood and survival, between loyalty and danger, between keeping quiet and fighting back. With tensions rising between the Socs and the Greasers, Baylee finds herself pulled deeper into a world of violence, secrets, and choices that no kid should have to make. If she slips up, even once, the state could step in and tear her family apart for good. Can Baylee keep herself out of trouble long enough to hold her family together? Or will the streets of Tulsa swallow her whole? This is a fan fiction based on the book/movie 'The Outsiders'. I do not own any of the original main characters from either series. This is the first fan fiction that I have ever written, and let it be known I am not an English major, so I apologize in advance for any grammatical or punctuational errors. Feedback is welcome, and I am always open to new ideas πŸ™‚

She's searching for answers, when she finds Sodapop Curtis, the boy everyone notices and no one can resist. Set against the backdrop of greasers and socs, this is a story of dreams, found family, and love. Flirty, captivating, and full of heart, The Greaser Next Door captures grief and loyalty in the style of The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton.

Cordelia smiles softly at her baby brother as a pair of hands slips onto her waist. Dallas Winston pulls Cordelia Curtis back, the girl's body sliding over the armchair with ease. Cordelia lets out a surprised shriek, quickly closing her legs as her skirt rides up even more. "Hey! Hands off my sister, hood!" Soda yells at Dallas as Cordelia's face blushes at her current position. "Who you callin' a hood, hood?" Dally narrows his eyes challengingly at Soda as he tightens his grip on Cordelia. Cordelia's half on Dally's lap, her back pressed against one arm of the chair, and her feet propped up on the other. Dally's right arm wrapped tightly around her waist as he smirks at the deep blush on the girl's face. Dallas Winston is a flirt, ain't no doubt about it. Disclaimer--I have no rights to The Outsiders book or movie, only Cordeia Curtis and her plotline.

PONYBOY CURTIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN GOOD AT TWO THINGS: school and pining after Gabrielle McCormick from afar. Too bad she doesn't even know he exists. Gaby was everything a Soc is supposed to be-rich, beautiful, and completely wrapped up in her world of shopping, gossip, and status. To her, greasers were nothing more than troublemakers who don't belong in her perfectly manicured life. That was until her parents, desperate to get her grades up, forced her to get a tutor. Ponyboy Curtis, of all people, was assigned the job. Neither of them were happy about the arrangement. Yet, as forced study sessions turn into reluctant conversations, lines blurred between their worlds. Gaby couldn't deny there was something about him, something beyond the greasy hair and worn-out jackets. And maybe, just maybe, she was starting to see things differently. As for Pony, he may be book smart, but when it comes to love, he's about to learn just how stupid it can make you.

Everything was white. The plastered walls, the cork ceiling tiles, and the cotton bed sheets. Plain; the room was, and painfully bright as the sun rays shined through the curtain-less window on the right. A repetitive beep was heard at every second. The door was shut, but the sound of shuffling feet, clicking high heels, telephone rings, and hushed murmurs in the hallways outside the room were still heard. It was all too familiar, Dallas Winston thought to himself, as he lied in the white, cotton sheet bed, with a tube stuck on his arm. The last thing he remembered was running from the police, then the excruciating, burning sensation of the metal bullets burrowing into his skin, and the disgusting feel of hot blood oozing out. Though it was physically painful, it was emotionally freeing. Dallas found his life pointless without Johnny as his faithful shadow. So he took the initiative to end it himself. Bewildered, he was, to find himself alive and breathing. The chances of surviving being shot seven times was unlikely. You could call it a miracle, but to Dallas, it was like waking up in hell, again. (Note: I do not own The Outsiders or any of the original characters. All rights go to S.E. Hinton.) In the small town of Tulsa, Oklahoma, everyone is divided; you're either a greaser or a socs. If you're a greaser, you're only seen as lower class and a troublemaker. If you're a socs, you're seen as rich and spoiled. Bailey, Heather, and Veronica are best friends and greasers but they tend to deal with trouble rather than cause it. They all have their own problems and Veronica's car breaking down on their way home seemed like it'd be another, but is it actually a problem if it leads you to two cute mechanics and their friend?

JULIET CURTIS HATED SHAKESPEARE. She hated the guy from the moment she found out her mother named her after the starring lady in one of his tragic tales. She couldn't wrap her head around how something could take such a dark turn in just a few pages. It seemed unrealistic, purely a fantasy. Oh how wrong she was. Her own life would take a tragic turn just like the Shakespearean plays. There were no jousts, beheadings, or poison, but there was death and more than one. Most of them she had no involvement in, but one. Dallas Winston was dead because Juliet loved him and he loved her back. Dallas loved very little, but when he did he loved hard. It's what made his end so ill-fated, Juliet's just the same. Their tale was truly just another Shakespearean tragedy.
